Sam was our cook for the many years Da Bod Cafe has been open. She created recipes and with help from volunteers ran the kitchen throughout the season.  The menu board changes regularly so that visitors can make a return visit with a different choice of food!

The cafe offers a comfortable and atmospheric place to eat. Remember to bring your own bottle!!

The recipes used at Da Bod Cafe are all vegetarian and often very unusual. People often ask for the recipe after they have enjoyed a meal at the cafe. We have put one below for you to try. Keep an eye on the site as the recipe will change from time to time.
A typical menu. Recipe of the month!
- (Celeriac + orange soup)
- Carribean red bean and cashew savories
- Meditteranean salad

-Onion tart with baked red peppers
-Chilli fried tofu with coconut noodles
-Leek and blue cheese lasagne

-Pistachio and citrus ice-cream
-Chocolate fudge cake
-Strawberry and white chocolate trifle


 

 

 Chocolate Tofu Ice-cream

1 Packet (16oz) Silken Tofu
1 cup soya milk
half cup vegetable oil
1 cup sugar
quarter cup cocoa powder
1 tblspn vanilla
pinch salt

1  Whizz all ingredients together in food processor    until well combined.
2  Put in ice-cream machine or put in plastic container in freezer, take out and stir every 20 mins until until solidified.
Yummy!!
